Place |
| |
In early December 2001, we moved into 6400 Coors Blvd. NW, into a comfortable,
attractive, Retreat Center. During September 2004, the new residence
building was completed. The new building provides forty private
rooms, a beautiful, large gathering space, a library and snack area. Offerings for weekend
retreats are as follows:
$95.00 - Commuters - includes all meals and activities
at the Retreat House
$140.00 - includes accommodations for two nights and all meals
The retreat program will be given at 6400 Coors NW in our beautiful
conference
room, with meals served in the Dining room. Prayers and quiet time will
be in
the Chapel which has east-facing windows, looking toward the mountains.
Walking
paths surround the building. For longer walks there are trails to the Bosque
and the river. We have come a long way through difficulties crowned
with many
blessings. We are joyful to have such a lovely place for your rest and
renewal.
When you come you will find us waiting at the door.

| The
Staff |
| |
We, the Dominican Sisters, whose motherhouse is in Elkins Park, PA,
have staffed this center and a previous one in Albuquerque for four
decades. In addition to providing an attractive and peaceful atmosphere,
the Sisters collaborate with priests and other directors in retreat
presentations. The education of the staff has been in the fields of
theology, scripture, spirituality, psychology and spiritual direction. The
philosophy of our ministry of retreats is expressed in our Dominican
motto: "to contemplate and to give to others the fruits of
contemplation." |

For those seeking solitude and private prayer, a quiet bedroom is set
apart when space is available. These retreatants have access to a
refrigerator, kitchen, and pantry so that they may prepare their own
breakfast and light supper. Dinner is usually served between noon and one
PM each day except Monday. The offering is $45.00 per day. Minimum stay is two
days. |
