To Praise - To Bless - To Preach

Our Vocation Process
The pathway to becoming a Dominican in our congregation includes several steps.

Pre-Novitiate Candidacy

Pre-Novitiate Candidacy is a two part introduction to our life which includes regular visits with our sisters and their ministries, participation in a program of study and prayer and a year-long experience of community life and ministry in a local house of the congregation.

Novitiate

The novitiate is a special time of integrated spiritual formation with an emphasis on prayer, the vows, study of our Constitutions and Dominican spirituality.

Temporary Profession

Temporary Profession is a time to integrate the novitiate experience with active ministry in a local setting. It is an opportunity to explore your gifts within the community in the service of others

Final Profession

Final Profession of vows comes after at least four years of temporary vows and sufficient reflection and preparation for a life-long commitment.
